Joan Carter is a native of Virginia. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her career as an RN includes working for over 8 years in the chronic care dialysis setting. Upon deciding to further her education, she went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at United States University graduating With Distinction. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her daughter.

The Fresenius Medical Care Home Therapies Unit is a free standing unit conveniently located next to our 101 Park Hill office for patients who choose to do dialysis at home. Our physicians offer all home dialysis options, including peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.
