Robert Canady, M.D.
Dr. Robert Canady graduated from the University of Virginia with B.A. in Chemistry with specialization in Biological Sciences, and University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1999. Postgraduate training included an internship and residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Dr. Canady was competitively selected among his peers to serve as Chief Resident. During this honorary extra year of training, he was actively involved in teaching medical students and physicians in general internal medicine and nephrology. Fellowship training was completed at the University of Virginia. He is board certified in both general internal medicine and nephrology.
Dr. Canady has several honors and distinctions, one of which he was nominated by nurses and patients' families for Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award. Dr. Canady is also experienced with research and has work published in peer reviewed journals. He has provided charitable patient care to the community since 2008 by participating in the Moss Free Clinic. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer with his 6 children.
